  1. What was the inspiration for the work in the Project X: Art show?

    Collage. Quick collages that draw from the unconscious turned into paintings where technique brings added, unexpected elements.

  2. Describe your overall artistic philosophy in a single sentence.

    I am just very happy to be part of the creative people past and present who are and have been inspired to create something new.

  3. What other art has you fired up right now?

    I see new things all the time but for sure Tara Donovon, Todd Schorr , Mark Ryden and many of the "Juxtapose" artists.

  4. Pivotal moment in your development as an artist?

    Happening to be in New York and going to the MOMA to see a retrospective of Chuck Close that took up the entire museum.

  5. Artistic goals yet to be achieved?

    Big one man show w/ large paintings and the collages that they came from next to them.

  6. Best thing about being an artist?

    Living a life of inspiration and always having something to do.

  7. Worst thing about being an artist?

    I suppose...it would be that my head is so teaming with ideas and things to do that is very very difficult to sit at a day job working on the computer without being distracted.

  8. The moment you knew you were doomed to be an artist?

    I didn't discover Salvador Dali and surrealism until I was about 22 as I went to school for design, when I first opened a Dali book in a La Jolla Book store, my mind went racing...I had always worked at art but now I could see it wide open...a direction...surrealism, I knew that my mind worked in this way and was excited to begin in this direction.

  10. Number one thing you hope people take away from experiencing your art?

    Mind expansion

  1. Who would you most want to trade lives with for a day, and why?

    Perhaps the helmsman for Oracle Racing, BMW sponsored 90' Trimaran sailboat. One of the fastest sailboats in the world. It would be a thrill to steer that boat on a windy day with a well trained crew making it go. http://yachtpals.com/bmw-oracle-3077

  2. What books are you reading now?

    None

  3. What music is playing in your vehicle right now?

    Trippy, trance music, Reggae.

  4. Besides art, what are your greatest passion(s)?

    Sailing, Bocce with friends, Snow Skiing, Burning Man.

  5. Something everyone needs to know about you?

    I can do a cow impersonation that is spot on.

  6. What you'd be doing if you couldn't do art:

    Inconceivable...that would be depend on the restrictions that prevented me from doing art...playing music perhaps.

  7. Death Row last meal?

    A small bowl of Thai coconut soup, Some fresh sushi, with Sapporo, Saki , A big grain fed Steak Filet , Spinach salad, with a fine Bottle of Chilean Malbec, a small Lobster. Desert would be a bowl of Vanilla ice cream with fresh mixes Berries, a drizzle of chocolate sauce and a double Espresso.......A small glass of Fine Port wine.

  8. Guilty pleasure?

    Candy and Porn.

  9. Favorite status symbol?

    The Bat Country vest I have to show my status at Burning Man as being part of a group of enlighten crazies...Bat Country.

  10. Words of wisdom for today's misguided youth?

    You only have one life. If you chase money and think that the prize lies at the end of your journey you will waste your precious life. Stay close to what makes you happy and your life will be full of rewards, you will see that the prize IS the journey, and if your journey is walking the path of your passion, you will lead a fulfilling life.
