I'm a contemporary painter who tends to view art as holistic and inseparable from life.

After completing my bfa and driving around the country for a few months with my girlfriend at the time we ended up in portland, or - it was then and there that i first started devoting the majority of my time to art.
Full-time artist - i am currently saving money and will be quitting my part-time job in sept 2011 to pursue art full-time...the goal is to never go back.

The house i grew up in had a bathtub with formica paneling in front of it - i remember repeatedly forming various mental images from that paneling as early as age 5 and i still approach painting the same way to this day.
I feel the overall immediate surroundings you create for yourself have a bigger impact on your life than any particular person but my friend kelsey brookes has been very inspirational to me.
